Junior Credit Analyst / Graduate (f/m) Banking / Financial
Our client is a financial services company servicing Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific in the areas of consumer finance, insurance, commercial finance and real estate finance. They are a captive bank and wholly owned subsidiary of a global car manufacturer and are looking to hire a customer focused and service driven Junior Credit Analyst to support their lending operations. In this position you will work as part of an international team and provide appropriate recommendations to extend credit to commercial customers via various financial products. The quality and speed of this analysis directly affects the company’s competitive advantage and earnings.
Obtain all relevant information to properly analyze each credit proposal.
Analyze applications for commercial lines of credit quickly, efficiently and effectively, providing expedient turnaround.
Recognize and correctly interpret risk associated with the credit proposal.
Provide appropriate recommendations to the approval authority to mitigate risks identified.
Ensure adequate security is in place.
Monitor existing commercial credit lines.
Identify and assess business opportunities.
Work as part of a team to ensure performance goals are met.
Assist in team projects to continuously improve processes and cooperation with Operations.
In order to succeed in this role you will need a solid degree in economics or business studies, knowledge of financial statements (including balance sheets, profit & loss) and ideally first experience in using analytical tools, methods and ratios, including cash flow and EBIT. You will also need good knowledge of German accounting standards. Excellent verbal and written English and German language skills and PC literacy, especially MS Office, are essential.
